KINGS OF THRACE. Lysimachos, 305-281 BC. Stater (Gold, 18 mm, 8.48 g, 8 h), Pella, circa 286/5-282/1. Diademed head of Alexander the Great to right with horn of Ammon over his ear. Rev. ΒΑΣΙΛΕΩΣ - ΛΥΣΙΜΑΧΟΥ Athena seated left, holding Nike, crowning the king's name, in her right hand and leaning with her left arm on shield decorated with lion's head; behind, transverse spear; in inner left field, monogram of AP; in exergue, monogram. CNG E-Auction 421 (2018), 30 (same dies). Müller -. Thompson 240 var. (differing monograms). Scratches and with significant traces of mounting, otherwise, good very fine.
