SICILY. Motya. Circa 415/10-405 BC. Didrachm (Silver, 22 mm, 8.05 g, 7 h). The river-god Krimisos, in the form of a hunting dog, standing right; below, plant. Rev. MOTYAION Head of a nymph to right, with her hair rolled up and bound at the top of her head; behind, crayfish. BMC 3 (same dies). Jenkins, Punic, 24 (O11/R12). Very rare. Areas of weakness, otherwise, very fine.
