SICILY. Syracuse. Agathokles, 317-289 BC. Tetradrachm (Silver, 26 mm, 16.87 g, 10 h), circa 310-306/5. KOPAΣ Head of Kore to right, wearing wreath of grain ears, single-pendant earring and pearl necklace. Rev. AΓAΘOKΛ[EOΣ] Nike, bare to waist, standing right, about to attach a helmet to a trophy, she holds a hammer in her right hand and a nail in her left; to lower left, monogram of AI; to right, triskeles running right. Ierardi 102 (O21/-). SNG ANS 664. SNG Lockett 1004. A beautiful coin of very elegant style. Minor scuff on the obverse, otherwise, good very fine.
