HCG 1, 1637. HN Italy 2494. Beautifully toned and with a bold and expressive obverse struck in high relief. The reverse a bit weak and with some marks, otherwise, very fine.

The high Classical tetradrachms from Rhegion are among the most impressive coins struck in the Magna Graecia: they combine the finest Greek style with an exceptionally high relief on the city's coat of arms, the facing head of a lion.
