LUCANIA. Velia. Circa 334-300 BC. Didrachm or Nomos (Silver, 20 mm, 7.58 g, 7 h), Kleudoros Group. Head of Athena to left, wearing crested Phrygian helmet adorned, on the bowl, with a centauress; behind her neck, monogram. Rev. YEΛΗΤΩΝ Lion standing left, devouring prey; below, monogram. HN Italy 1296. Williams 374 (O189/R263). A beautiful coin, lightly toned and of fine style. Good very fine.
