MYSIA. Kyzikos. Circa 410-390 BC. Tetradrachm (Silver, 24 mm, 15.00 g, 6 h). ΣΩΤΕΙΡΑ Head of Kore to left, wearing wreath of grain ears, pendant earring, simple necklace and sphendone covered by a veil. Rev. KYZIKHN-ΩN Head of a lion to left, with open jaws and protruding tongue; below, tunny fish to left; behind, small dolphin. BMC -. Pixodarus Type 1. Peus 396 (2008), 340. SNG Paris -. Von Fritze -. Extremely rare with this reverse symbol. A wonderfully toned piece with a particularly graceful head of Kore. Good very fine.
