SICILY. Syracuse. Agathokles, 317-289 BC. Tetradrachm (Silver, 22 mm, 17.13 g, 8 h), circa 310-306/5. KOPAΣ Head of Kore to left, wearing wreath of grain ears, single-pendant earring and necklace. Rev. AΓAΘOKΛ[EIOΣ] Nike, bare to waist, standing right, about to attach a helmet to a trophy, she holds a hammer in her right hand and a nail in her left; to lower left, triskeles running right. Ierardi 240 (O70/R162). Struck from somewhat worn dies, otherwise, very fine.
