ISLANDS OFF IONIA, Chios. Pseudo-autonomous issue. Triassarion (Bronze, 23 mm, 8.45 g, 12 h), Aurelius Chrysogonos, son of Epaphroditos, archon, mid 3rd century AD. ΑCAPIA (sic!) TPIA Sphinx seated right, head to left, placing left forepaw on prow to right. Rev. ΕΠ ΑΥΡ ΧΡΥΣΟΓΟΝΟΥ ΤΟΥ ΕΠΑΦΡΟΔ-ΕΙΤΟΥ ΧΙΩΝ Amphora; to left and right, grain ear. BMC 128. Mavrogordato 137.
