KINGS OF ARMENIA. Tigranes the Younger, 77/6-66 BC. Tetrachalkon (Bronze, 17 mm, 7.10 g, 11 h), uncertain mint (Artaxata?), 66/5. Draped bust of Tigranes the Younger to right, wearing five-pointed Armenian tiara decorated with a comet star and tied with a diadem. Rev. BAΣΙΛEΩΣ - TIΓPANOY Nike advancing left, holding wreath in her right hand and palm frond over her left shoulder. Kovacs 158. Well struck and with an attractive portrait of the younger Tigranes. Minor edge crack, otherwise, very fine.
