D N VALENTIN-IANVS P F AVG Pearl-diademed, helmeted and cuirassed bust of Valentinian III facing slightly to right, holding spear in his right hand and with a shield decorated with horseman attacking a fallen foe over his left shoulder. Rev. SALVS REI PVB-LICAE / CONOB Theodosius II seated facing on the left and Valentinian III seated facing on the right, both wearing consular robes and holding a mappa in their right hands and a cross in their left; above, star.
