KINGS OF MACEDON. Philip II, 359-336 BC. Tetradrachm (Silver, 23 mm, 14.47 g, 2 h), Amphipolis, struck under Philip II or Alexander III, circa 342/1-329/8. Laureate head of Zeus to right. Rev. ΦΙΛΙΠΠΟΥ Young jockey, holding palm frond in his right hand and reins in his left, riding horse to right; below horse, omphalos. Le Rider 424 (D210'/R376). SNG ANS 547. Beautifully toned. Minor marks, otherwise, good very fine.
