KINGS OF MACEDON. Archelaos Philopatris Ktistes, 413-400/399 BC. Stater (Silver, 22 mm, 10.58 g, 12 h), Aigai. Head of Apollo to right, wearing tainia. Rev. ΑΡΧΕ-ΛΑ[Ο] Horse standing right, left foreleg raised, wearing bridle with trailing rein; linear frame within incuse square. HGC 3, 795. Westermark, Staters, Group II. A beautifully toned example. The reverse somewhat double struck, otherwise, very fine.
