A nicely toned tetradrachm of Ptolemy I as satrap

PTOLEMAIC KINGS OF EGYPT. Ptolemy I Soter, As satrap, 323-305 BC. Tetradrachm (Silver, 28 mm, 15.70 g, 1 h), Alexandria, circa 306-300. Diademed head of the deified Alexander III to right, with horn of Zeus Ammon above his ear, wearing elephant skin headdress and aegis around his neck. Rev. ΑΛΕΞΑΝΔΡΟΥ Athena Alkidemos advancing right, brandishing spear with her right hand and holding shield in her left; to right, Corinthian helmet to right over monogram of KΡ and eagle standing right on thunderbolt. Lorber 70. Svoronos 164. Nicely toned. Banker's marks on obverse and with a graffito of Δ on the reverse, otherwise, very fine.
