KINGS OF MACEDON. Alexander III ‘the Great’, 336-323 BC. Stater (Gold, 17 mm, 8.58 g, 11 h), Lampsakos, struck under Kalas or Demarchos, circa 328/5-323 BC. Head of Athena to right, wearing Corinthian helmet decorated with serpent. Rev. AΛEΞANΔΡOΥ Nike standing left, holding wreath in her right hand and stylus in her left; to left, conjoined horse foreparts; below wing to left, monogram. Price 1358. Light doubling on the reverse, otherwise, good very fine.
