KINGS OF MACEDON. Philip II, 359-336 BC. Tetradrachm (Silver, 25 mm, 14.35 g, 9 h), Amphipolis, struck under Philip II or Alexander III, circa 342/1-329/8. Laureate head of Zeus to right. Rev. ΦΙΛΙΠΠΟΥ Young jockey, holding palm branch and reins, riding horse to right; below horse, stern. Le Rider 402. A splendid example of excellent style and with attractive golden toning. Nearly extremely fine.
