THRACE. Ainos. Circa 400/399-398/7 BC. Tetrobol (Silver, 13 mm, 2.56 g, 12 h). Head of Hermes facing slightly to left, wearing petasos. Rev. AINION Male goat standing right; to lower right, race-torch; all within incuse square. May, Ainos, 345 (A214/P231) = Traité pl. CCCXLVI, 9. Beautifully toned and very sharp, a splendid example. Nearly extremely fine.
