A superbly elegant stater from Ambrakia

EPEIROS. Ambrakia. Circa 404-360 BC. Stater (Silver, 22 mm, 8.45 g, 3 h). Pegasos flying left; A on its side. Rev. Head of Athena to right, wearing Corinthian helmet with A on the bowl; to right, Eros (?) flying left, crowning Athena with olive wreath. Calciati 78 corr. (same reverse die, but citing Ravel 120 in error). Ravel, Colts, -, cf. A54/P82 (unlisted die combination). Rare, beautifully toned, and of superbly elegant style. Two edge cracks, otherwise, good very fine.
