A lovely Treveri Potin

CELTIC, Northeast Gaul. Treveri. Late 2nd to mid 1st century BC. Cast unit (Potin, 21 mm, 5.36 g). Two horses (?) facing each other with annulet-in-circle between; around, three large pellets-in-circles. Rev. Two boars facing each other with pellet-in-circle between. DT 224. Very rare. A beautiful piece with attractive earthen deposits on a near black patina. Minor flan fault on the reverse, otherwise, extremely fine.
