A very rare follis of Heraclius and Heraclius Constantine from Seleucia Isauriae
Lot 1810
Heraclius, with Heraclius Constantine, 610-641. Follis (Bronze, 31 mm, 14.13 g, 12 h), Seleucia Isauriae, RY 6 = 615/5. Half-lenght busts of Heraclius and Heraclius Constantine facing, each crowned and draped; inbetween, cross; around, somewhat blundered legend. Rev. Large M in center, flanked by Iζ and A/N/N/O; above, Chi-Rho; below, A; in exergue, SЄLISЧ. DOC 180a2, MIB 192, SB 844. Very rare. Heavy deposits and with traces of overstriking, otherwise, very fine.

What makes this coin particularly interesting is the fact that the regnal year on the reverse is not only retrograde, but it also switched sides with the A/N/N/O
