Diocletian, 284-305. Follis (Bronze, 28 mm, 10.80 g, 9 h), a contemporary imitation from an irregular mint, after 294. IMP DIOCLETIANVS AVG Laureate and cuirassed bust of Diocletian to right. Rev. GENIO PO-PVLI ROMANI / TR The Genius of the Roman people, nude but for chlamys, standing front, head to left, wearing kalathos and sacrificing out of patera over lighted altar with his right hand and holding cornucopiae in his left. Cf. Leu Web Auction 8 (2019), 1418. Struck slightly off center and with light deposits on the reverse, otherwise, very fine.
