KINGS OF SOPHENE. Mithradates I, circa 2nd half of 2nd century BC. Hemichalkon (Bronze, 8 mm, 0.59 g). Diademed and draped bust of Mithradates I to left, wearing bashlyk tied with a diadem. Rev. [MΙΘPA]ΔATOY. Kovacs -, cf. 27 (ΒΑΣΙΛΕΩΣ ΠΙΘPAΔATOY). Leu 4 (2019), 310. Unpublished and apparently the second known example. Struck on a tiny flan and the patina stripped, otherwise, very fine.
