CILICIA. Hierapolis. 2nd-1st century BC. AE (Bronze, 23 mm, 6.49 g, 12 h). Turreted, veiled and draped bust of the city-goddess to right; behind, monogram. Rev. IEPOΠOΛITΩN / TΩΝ ΠΡΟC TΩI - ΠΥΡΑΜΩI / [THΣ] IEPAΣ - KAI / AΣYΛOY Goddess seated left on throne, holding phiale (?) in her right hand and short scepter in her left; to right, pine tree. SNG Levante 1571 var. (differing obverse monogram). SNG Paris 2219. A lovely example with excellent obverse details and a fine light green patina. Adjustment marks as made, otherwise, good very fine.
