AΛEΞANΔPOY Zeus seated left on low throne, holding long scepter in his left hand and eagle standing right with closed wings in his right; to left, Milesian lion standing left, head to right, with star above and monogram of MI below; to inner right, ΛΞ; below throne, monogram of ΦΛ. Price 2182. Rare. A splendid example, struck on a broad flan and of flamboyant Hellenistic style. A few faint old cleaning scratches, otherwise, good extremely fine.
