An extremely rare stater from Amathos

CYPRUS. Amathos. Uncertain king (Mo-), circa 450-30 BC. Stater (Silver, 22 mm, 11.30 g, 3 h). Lion recumbent to right; above, eagle flying right, in exergue, [𐠗] ('mo' in Cypriot syllabic script). Rev. Forepart of a lion to right within round incuse. Amandry, Amathonte, 126, 1 = NAC 106 (2018), 282 (same obverse die). BMC p. xxvi, § 9, (ii.) and pl. XVIII, 3 (same obverse die). Tziambazis 2 (same obverse die). Extremely rare, apparently the fifth known example and only the second in private hands. The obverse struck from the usual worn die and the reverse a bit off center, otherwise, extremely fine.
