IONIA. Phokaia. Circa 521-478 BC. Hekte (Electrum, 11 mm, 2.61 g). Two seals, belly-to-belly, swimming in opposite directions. Rev. Quadripartite incuse square. Bodenstedt 46. SNG Copenhagen -. SNG von Aulock 7941. Very rare. A very well centered example of beautiful late Archaic style. The usual die breaks on the obverse, otherwise, extremely fine.
