LUCANIA. Metapontion. Punic occupation, circa 215-207 BC. Half Shekel (Silver, 19 mm, 3.49 g, 9 h). Head of Athena to right, wearing crested Corinthian helmet. Rev. META Ear of barley with leaf to right. HN Italy 1632. Robinson p. 50, 4. A beautiful and very sharply struck piece. Very minor deposits on the obverse, otherwise, good extremely fine.
