LUCANIA. Metapontion. Circa 330-290 BC. Didrachm or Nomos (Silver, 21 mm, 7.90 g, 2 h). Head of Demeter to left, wearing wreath of grain ears, triple pendant earring and pearl necklace. Rev. META Ear of barley with leaf to right; to right above leaf, pitchfork; below leaf, AΔ. HN Italy 1582. Johnston Class C, 5.1.1. Bright and clear. Extremely fine.
