IONIA. Magnesia ad Maeandrum. Circa 350-325 BC. Didrachm (Silver, 21 mm, 7.04 g, 12 h), Lykomedes, magistrate. Warrior on horseback right, holding spear in his right hand. Rev. MAΓN / ΛYKOMHΔ Bull butting left; all within circular maeander pattern. BMC -. SNG Copenhagen -. SNG München -. SNG von Aulock -. Waddington 1723. Very rare. An attractive example of fine style. Minor cleaning marks from removing horn silver, otherwise, good very fine.
