Tacitus, 275-276. Aureus (Gold, 21 mm, 4.54 g, 7 h), Serdica, circa January-June 276. IMP C M CL TACITVS AVG Laureate, draped and cuirassed bust of Tacitus to right. Rev. ROMAE AETERNAE / S C Roma seated left on shield, holding Victory on globe in her right hand and spear in her left. Biaggi 1602 = Calicó 4095 (same obverse die). Cohen 116. RIC 205 corr. ('Cyzicus'). RIC online 3918. Minor scrapes on the reverse and with traces of mounting, otherwise, about very fine.
