Aelia Pulcheria, Augusta, 414-453. Tremissis (Gold, 19 mm, 1.50 g, 12 h), Constantinopolis, circa 420-450/3. AEL PVLCH-ERIA AVG Diademed and draped bust of Aelia Pulche­ria to right. Rev. CONOB✱ Latin cross within a wreath with ties at the bottom and large central jewel above. Depeyrot 72/4. RIC 521 (wreath ties 14). An unusually sharp and clear example with a splendid portrait. Minor flan fault on the reverse, otherwise, good extremely fine.
