VOTA PVBLICA / S - C Caracalla, togate and veiled, standing front, head to left, sacrificing out of patera in his right hand over tripod altar and holding roll in his left; behind tripod, bull prostrate left. BMC 253. Cohen 677. RIC 513 var. (with drapery). Rare. A superb coin with a splendid portrait of vigorous style. Minor smoothing, otherwise, nearly extremely fine.
