Titus, 79-81. Denarius (Silver, 16 mm, 3.51 g, 5 h), Rome, 79. IMP TITVS CAES VESPASIAN AVG P M Laureate head of Titus to left. Rev. TR P VIIII IMP XIIII COS VII Venus standing right, nude to below the hips, leaning on a column to her left, holding crested helmet in her right hand and scepter in her left. BMC 11. Cohen 268 var. (Head of Titus to right). RIC 16. A beautifully toned example with a bold portrait. Very light deposits, otherwise, nearly extremely fine.
