Diademed head of Ptolemy I to right, wearing aegis around neck; small Δ behind ear. Rev. ΒΑΣΙΛΕΩΣ - ΠΤΟΛΕΜΑΙΟΥ Eagle, with closed wings, standing left on thunderbolt; in field to left, monogram of XA/HP. Lorber, Ptolemaic, 191. SNG Copenhagen -. Svoronos 236. A wonderful, beautifully toned piece with an exceptional portrait. Small graffito of N and some surface cracks on the reverse, otherwise, extremely fine.
