SELEUKID KINGS OF SYRIA. Seleukos I Nikator, 312-281 BC. Tetradrachm (Silver, 28 mm, 17.07 g, 8 h), Seleukeia in Pieria, circa 300 or shortly thereafter. Head of Herakles to right, wearing lion skin headdress. Rev. BAΣIΛΕΩΣ - ΣΕΛEYKOY Zeus seated left on low throne, holding long scepter in his left hand and Nike presenting wreath in his right; to left, monogram; below throne, monogram of TP. Le Rider, Antioche 34 (A3/P17). SC 29.1e. Boldly struck, nicely toned and of fine style. Extremely fine.
