KINGS OF COMMAGENE. Epiphanes & Kallinikos, circa 60s-72. Tetrachalkon (Orichalcum, 21 mm, 8.45 g, 1 h). [B]ACIΛEΩ[C YIOI] Epiphanes and Kallinikos on horseback to left. Rev. KOMMAΓHNON Capricorn to right with star above and anchor below; all within laurel wreath. Kovacs 241. RPC I 3861. Rare. A well struck, sharp and unusually complete example. Good very fine.

The coins of Epiphanes & Kallinikos are usually dated to 72 AD, but they were arguably struck late in the reign of their father Antiochos IV (38-72), who presented them as his heirs: BACIΛEΩC YIOI translates as 'the sons of the King'.
