KINGS OF ARMENIA. Artaxias II, first reign, 34 BC. Tetrachalkon (Bronze, 19 mm, 6.67 g, 12 h), Artaxata (?). Draped bust of Artaxias II to right, wearing five-pointed tiara tied with a diadem; behind, A. Rev. BAΣI[ΛEΩΣ] - BAΣIΛEΩ[N] / APTA[ZA] Nike standing left, holding wreath (?) in her right hand. Kovacs 169. Extremely rare. Minor cleaning scratches, otherwise, good fine.

From an important collection of Armenian coins, ex Gorny & Mosch 212, 5 March 2013, 2252 (with original ticket, but misattributed to 'Artavasdes').
