LYCIA. Xanthos. Circa 410-390/80 BC. Stater (Silver, 21 mm, 8.20 g, 10 h), or Tlos, time of Vekhssere II. Head of a satrap to right, wearing satrapal headdress. Rev. Laureate head of Apollo to right; behind, diskeles; all within round incuse. Müseler VII, 42 (same dies). SNG Copenhagen -. SNG von Aulock -. Vismara -. Very rare. A very sharp piece with a wonderful reverse. The obverse struck from the usual worn die, otherwise, good extremely fine.
