An apparently unique stater from Telmessos

LYCIA. Telmessos. Circa 410-390/80 BC. Stater (Silver, 21 mm, 7.90 g, 9 h), time of Vekhssere II. Head of Herakles to right, wearing lion skin headdress. Rev. Head of Athena to right, wearing crested Attic helmet; behind, diskeles; all within round incuse. Müseler VII, 29 (this coin). SNG Copenhagen -. SNG von Aulock -. Vismara -. Of the highest rarity, perhaps unique. A beautiful issue of very attractive archaizing style. The reverse struck from a worn die, otherwise, about extremely fine.
