CELTIC, Northwest Gaul. Uncertain tribe. Circa 50-25 BC. Quinarius (Silver, 14 mm, 1.09 g, 10 h), 'à la tête de Pallas' type. Celticized head of Athena to right, wearing crested Corinthian helmet. Rev. Celticized horseman to right; below, ornament formed out of three crescents. DT 2364. LT 5985 var. (differing ornament). SLM -. A wonderfully toned piece struck on a very broad flan. Very light marks, otherwise, good extremely fine.
