ATTICA. Athens. Circa 475-465 BC. Tetradrachm (Silver, 25 mm, 17.19 g, 7 h). Head of Athena to right, wearing crested Attic helmet decorated with three olive leaves and palmette. Rev. ΑΘE Owl standing right, head facing; to left, olive sprig and crescent; all within incuse square. Starr Group II.C. Svoronos pl. 9, 1. A superb piece of wonderful early Classical style and struck in very high relief. Extremely fine.
