SATRAPS OF CARIA. Pixodaros, circa 341/0-336/5 BC. Didrachm (Silver, 18 mm, 7.06 g, 12 h), Halikarnassos. Laureate head of Apollo facing slightly to right with drapery below. Rev. [ΠIΞ]ΩΔAΡOΥ Zeus Labraundos standing right, holding long scepter in his left hand and double-axe in his right. SNG Copenhagen 596-7. SNG von Aulock 2375-6. A charming example with beautiful iridescent toning. Good very fine.
