Citing the ʿAbbasid caliph Ahmad Abu’l-ʿAbbas al-Nasir li-din Allah (AH 575-622 / AD 1180-1225) within a central circle and an inner margin, ‘al-ʾimām / Aḥmad’ (‘Imam Ahmad’ in Arabic); in the inner margin, ‘Abu’l-ʿAbbās al-Nāṣir li-dīn Allāh amīr al-muʾminīn’ (‘Abu’l-ʿAbbas al-Nasir li-din Allah, Commander of the Believers’ in Arabic); in the outer margin, ‘bism Allāh ḍuriba hādhā al-dīnār bi al-Iskandariyya sana thalāth ʿashra wa sitta miʾa’ (‘In the name of Allah. This dinar was struck in al-Iskandariyya in the year 613’ in Arabic). Rev.
