THRACE. Ainos. Circa 400/399-398/7 BC. Tetradrachm (Silver, 26 mm, 15.45 g, 9 h). Head of Hermes facing slightly to left, wearing petasos. Rev. AINI-O-N Male goat standing right; to lower right, lighted torch; all within incuse square. AMNG I 336. BMC 16. Boston MFA 787 (same dies). HGC 3.2, 1278. May, Ainos, 342 (A206.1/P229). A lovely coin of fine classical style. Slightly porous and with very minor doubling on the reverse, otherwise, good very fine.
