Histamenon (Gold, 26 mm, 4.43 g, 6 h), Constantinopolis. +IhS XIS RCX RCSNΛNTIhm Christ, nimbate, standing facing on footstool, wearing tunic and pallium, raising his right hand in benediction and holding book of Gospels in his left. Rev. +ΘЄΟΔⲰPA ΛVΓΟVCTΛ Theodora, on the left, standing facing, wearing crown with pinnacles and pendilia, divitision and loros decorated with a cross, placing her right hand on breast, and Virgin, on the right, standing facing, nimbate, wearing tunic and maphorion, holding between them labarum with pellet on shaft; M - Θ flanking Virgin’s head. DOC 1a. Füeg 1.A. SB 1837. Very well centered on a broad flan. Light scratches and with very light doubling on the obverse and some weakness on the reverse, otherwise, extremely fine.
